For decades this was the shoe of dentists and people who had given up. Then fashion declared it holy — which tells you about fashion, not the shoe. The suede cannot survive rain, and is sold to people who live outdoors. You will baby it. You will not wear it when it’s wet, i.e. exactly when shoes are required.

A clog for the indoors, sold as a clog for life. I respect it enormously. I will not be buying one.
