The Sunrise Alarm Clock
A lamp that simulates dawn for a body that will sleep straight through it.

The Pitch
Wake gently. No jarring alarm — instead a slow golden glow that mimics the sunrise, easing you into consciousness like a Scandinavian spa morning. You'll rise refreshed, cortisol balanced, the protagonist of a skincare advert.
The Reality
For three days you wake before it, lying still, watching a bedside lamp fade up and feeling nothing. By day four you sleep through the dawn entirely, and the backup alarm — a real, panicked beeping — does the actual work, same as the £4 clock it replaced. The glow now mostly serves to softly light your face as you doomscroll at 6 a.m.
The Verdict
A beautiful object that solves the gentle part of waking, which was never the problem. The problem was getting up. It cannot help you with that.
